Why Call the Race “Run Through The Roses?”

We decided to call our annual road race “Run Through The Roses” to emphasize how the citizens of Madison, Alabama have adopted the Radrazz Knock Out Rose as our signature plant. Racers will see dozens and dozens of Radrazz Knock Out Roses as they traverse the course.

And while not everyone wants to participate in a 10K race, many of our citizens and volunteers are looking forward to cheering the racers on and celebrating in style with colorful hats, rose corsages and more on the roadside and at various celebrations.

And of course, everyone knows Roses have thorns…so of course our road race finishes with the most challenging hill to climb on Eastview, a section we’re sure will become known as “Thorn Hill”.

Will You Survive Thorn Hill?
